Hiran, (insidesomalia.org) - One of the Somali tribes who live in Hiran region has sturdily opposed the newly appointed administration for the region.
Traditional elders, clerics, politicians and intellectuals from the Jajela tribe one of the major tribes in the region come together for a conference at Amman Hotel in the center of Baladweyn town the headquarters of Hiran region.
These individuals absolutely rebuffed the recently appointed Hiran administration and said the appointed administration un proportional administration and we call unlawful.
Hassan Abdi Mohamed (Hassan Dere) a prominent politician who hails from the Jajelan tribe who addressed the gathers in the meeting said that the new administration was formed in way that contradicts with the constitution.
“Look at the other regions in the country for instant Bay and Gedo regions their people elect their leaders freely in an open daylight” added Mohamed Abdi.
These figures from the jajela community warned the new administration should not come to their internal affairs.
This boycotting conference coincides with time when the new Hiran regional commissioner Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed is in slow talks with the other tribes in the region.
